Musiliu Akinsanya, widely known as MC Oluomo, has been officially sworn in as the National President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) at the union’s national headquarters in Abuja.

According to a reporter, Oluomo was chosen by consensus during a leaders’ meeting held in Osogbo, Osun State, on Saturday.

MC Oluomo, previously the Chairman of the Lagos State Chapter of NURTW, has now assumed the role of National President. He was formally introduced to members of the National Administrative Council (NAC) and the Central Working Committee (CWC) on Monday.

The union’s Legal Officer, Mercy Ibeh, led the swearing-in ceremony.

Alongside MC Oluomo’s inauguration as National President, Tajudeen Agbede and Akeem Adeosun were sworn in as Vice President for the Southwest and as Trustee, respectively.

“I pledge to lead the union to greater heights with the support of Almighty Allah,” MC Oluomo stated after his swearing-in.
