The Appeal Court Removes Ondo LP Candidate, Ebisenib From the Race of Upcoming Governorship Election

The Court of Appeal in Abuja has disqualified Olusola Ebiseni as the Labour Party candidate for the Ondo State governorship election set for Saturday, November 16, 2024.

The judgment, delivered unanimously by the three-member panel and read by the panel’s chair, Justice Adebukola Banjoko, was issued on Wednesday.

Justice Banjoko stated, “The appeal, marked CA/ABJ/CV/1172/2024, filed by the Labour Party against Chief Olusola Ebiseni and two others, is granted.”

Justice Banjoko also mentioned that the Certified True Copy of the judgment would be made available to the parties involved in the appeal for their review as soon as possible.

Reporter recalls that Justice Emeka Nwite of the Federal High Court in Abuja had previously directed the Independent National Electoral Commission to accept and recognize Olusola Ebiseni and Ezekiel Awude as the Labour Party’s governorship and deputy governorship candidates for the upcoming Ondo State election on November 16.
