Mass Burial Held for 15 Kebbi Residents killed by the new Terror Group, Lakurawa

Fifteen victims of a devastating attack by the new terror group Lakurawa on Mera village in Augie Local Government Area of Kebbi State, North-West Nigeria, were laid to rest in a mass burial.

The funeral prayer was attended by Deputy Governor Umar Tafida, the Commissioner of Police leading other security officials, and the Emir of Argungu, HRH Isma’ila Mera.

Tafida expressed condolences and support to the grieving families, stating that the State Governor stands with them and will collaborate with security agencies to prevent further attacks.

The Emir of Argungu encouraged unity and resilience, urging security agencies to step up efforts to ensure community safety.

The funeral service included prayers for peace and for the departed souls, with a renewed commitment to enhance regional security and stability.

The government also reassured citizens of its continued efforts to safeguard lives and prevent future tragedies.
