On Tuesday, Nigeria Police Force officers fired teargas at young Nigerians protesting against the rising cost of living.
According to report, the protesters gathered around 7 a.m. near the well-known Berger roundabout and began marching towards Eagles Square.
In an attempt to break up the protest, the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) resorted to using force.
The protesters are urging President Bola Tinubu’s administration to take immediate action to address hunger and other economic challenges in the country.
In response, during his Independence Day address, Tinubu assured Nigerians that his government is implementing various measures to lower the cost of living.
