Nigeria’s First Lady, Remi Tinubu, has refuted claims that she is organizing a national prayer in response to the country’s economic struggles.

Reports had it that the First Lady, along with others, was planning a prayer session for the nation.

In response, the First Lady’s spokesperson, Busola Kukoyi, issued a statement on Saturday, calling the reports both misleading and baseless.

This is to clarify and inform the public that the First Lady of Nigeria, Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, is not organizing a National Prayer.

“The reports circulating on various media platforms are false and misleading. Therefore, anyone who has encountered the claim of a joint National Prayer for Nigeria should ignore it,” said Kukoyi.

While urging people to verify any news about the First Lady, Busola also emphasized that the First Lady acknowledges the significance of praying for the nation.
