President Bola Tinubu has approved a new minimum wage of N70,000 for Nigerian workers, along with a pledge to review the national minimum wage legislation every three years
Mohammed Idris, the Minister of Information, disclosed this announcement today at the Presidential Villa during a meeting with organized labor union leaders.
Among the attendees at the meeting were Comrade Joe Ajaero, who heads the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), and Comrade Festus Usifo, President of the Trade Union Congress (TUC), accompanied by several union members.
Remember that the Labour leader had asked for N494,000 as wage but went down to N250,000 after a series of back and forth with the Federal Government.
