A 35-year-old man, Felix Vhimga, was found dead under mysterious circumstances in the Ojowo area of Ijebu Igbo, Ogun State.

Reporter gathered that Vhimga had gone missing after visiting his brother, Sunday Robert, in the community on Monday.

After the visit, Vhimga reportedly said goodbye to his brother around 9 p.m.

Robert, who sounded the alarm over Vhimga’s disappearance, said he failed to arrive home the following day after leaving his house.

A police source, speaking anonymously as they were not authorized to discuss the case, said Robert eventually began searching for his brother.

The source explained that, after unsuccessful attempts to find him, Robert went to the police station to file a report.

“Sunday Terkuma Robert, the deceased’s brother, reported that Felix visited him on November 11 and left around 9 p.m. When he hadn’t heard from Felix the next day, Robert started looking for him. After failing to locate him, he came to the station,” the source said.

The police source disclosed that the deceased’s body was later found near a stream in the community.

According to the source, the body was discovered around 7 a.m., with a wound on the forehead near the left eye.

The body was found around 7 a.m. on November 13, with a wound on the forehead near the left eye. A police team inspected the location, removed the body, and took it to Alayangbe Private Morgue for an autopsy.

The case has reportedly been handed over to the State Criminal Investigation Department in Ijebu Igbo.

“An investigation into the incident is ongoing,” the source added.

Efforts to reach the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Omolola Odutola, were unsuccessful, as calls to her phone went unanswered, and a text message sent to her had not received a response at the time of this report.
