Again, NNPCL has Hiked the Fuel Pump Price

0

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPCL, has once again increased the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, commonly referred to as petrol, to N1,030 per litre.

This change was noticed by our correspondent at several NNPCL stations in Abuja on Wednesday.

According to report, the recent change occurred after NNPCL chose to end its exclusive purchase agreement with Dangote Refinery.

This allows marketers to now negotiate prices directly with the refinery, as NNPCL will no longer be the sole buyer.

In the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), the product was previously priced at N897 per litre.

Additionally, our correspondent reported that in Lagos, fuel that used to sell for N885 per litre is now being sold at N998, resulting in long queues.
