Joe Igbokwe, a prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has criticized singer Davido for advising Americans against moving to Nigeria.
It is recalled that Davido, during an appearance on an American podcast, cautioned U.S. citizens against considering relocating to Africa, particularly Nigeria, citing the country’s struggling economy.
In response, Igbokwe called for Davido to retract his statement, emphasizing that Nigeria played a significant role in his success.
On his Facebook page, he wrote, “My in-law Davido has disappointed me by telling the world in America that Nigeria’s economy is in shambles. This is very sad. I urge him to take back his words immediately. Nigeria made Davido.
