A Well-known Nigerian gospel artist, Damilare Odunuga, also known as Dare Melody, has opened up about how his family mistreated his late wife, Adedoyin.
According to a reporter, Adedoyin passed away on October 24, 2024, due to a heart-related illness.
In a viral video on the Kilarigbo YouTube page, Dare Melody revealed the difficult and unfair treatment his wife faced from his family.
He shared, “My family made things difficult for Adedoyin, and I would reassure her, saying, ‘Adedoyin, you married me, so just focus on me and feel at ease when I’m here.’
“She supported me through everything, even when we didn’t have enough to eat. In 2010, God told me I would release an album, which became Goodness and Mercy, and it revived my career. That album was a turning point for me, and I began building a house.
“A friend of mine called and reminded me, ‘This woman has been by your side; let’s build a house for her,’ and I responded, ‘everything I have is hers.’”
The couple married in October 2017 and have three daughters.
