The Nigerian Government has Officially Removed Universities and Other Tertiary Institutions From the IPPIS System

The Nigerian government has officially excluded universities and other state-owned tertiary institutions from the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System (IPPIS).

This announcement was made by the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF) following the government’s directive to remove these institutions from the IPPIS payment platform.

Bawa Mokwa, the Director of Press and Public Relations at the OAGF, stated that the shutdown of the IPPIS for federal institutions was a direct result of the government’s decision.

“It was expected that the IPPIS platform for FTIs would be shut down following the Federal Government’s directive to exclude these institutions from the system,” he explained.

He also stated that salaries for November would now be handled through the Government Integrated Financial Management Information System (GIFMIS).

According to Mokwa, federal agencies have been directed to prepare their payrolls in Excel format and submit them to IPPIS for verification.
