The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) attributed the deaths of some villagers during airstrikes in Sokoto to what it referred to as ‘secondary explosions.’
According to the Sokoto State government, 10 villagers were killed and several others injured a few days ago during airstrikes in Silame Local Government Area.
However, Major General Edward Buba, the Director of Defence Media Operations, clarified that the casualties were caused by secondary explosions, not the airstrikes themselves.
