On Thursday, Niger State Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago distributed vehicles to various esteemed figures and organizations across the state. Beneficiaries included High Court judges, security chiefs, student unions, the Chairman of the Imam Forum, and the Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Niger State.
Governor Bago characterized this initiative as part of his administration’s broader commitment to ensuring that key stakeholders receive tangible support from governance. The vehicles are intended for personal use by the recipients, aiming to enhance their capacity to serve the community and fulfill their responsibilities effectively.
Expressing gratitude for their dedication and collaboration with the state government, Governor Bago acknowledged the pivotal role played by security agencies in safeguarding lives and property in Niger State. He underscored his administration’s ongoing efforts to improve welfare and security across the state.
In addition to the vehicles, Governor Bago presented three CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) buses to student union bodies. These include the Niger State Chapter of the National Youths Council of Nigeria (NYCN), the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Niger State Chapter, and the National Association of Niger State Students. This initiative is part of the governor’s commitment to supporting youth engagement and ensuring efficient transportation for student activities.
Through these strategic allocations, Governor Bago aims to boost morale among public servants and stakeholders while equipping them with the necessary resources to perform their duties effectively in service to the people of Niger State.
