John Mahama has been sworn in as Ghana’s new president during a ceremony attended by world leaders.
According to the reporter, the former governor was announced as the winner of the 2024 presidential election on December 8th, defeating his primary main, Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia.
Mahama, who previously served as Ghana’s 12th President from 2011 to 2017, has returned to power through re-election.
Nigeria’s President, Bola Tinubu, left Lagos on Monday to attend the inauguration.
The ceremony is being held in Accra, the capital of Ghana.
