Singer Wizkid has matched his peer Burna Boy’s record as the Nigerian artist with the highest number of charting albums in Billboard 200 history.
The Starboy boss reached this milestone with the debut of his new album ‘Morayo’ at number 98 on the Billboard 200, selling 13,000 units in its first week.
As a result, Wizkid tied Burna Boy with the most charting albums by a Nigerian artist in Billboard 200 history, each with four albums.
“Wizkid matches Burna Boy as the Nigerian artist with the most charting albums in Billboard 200 history (four each),” music tracking platform Chart Data posted on X today 6/12/24.
‘Morayo’ also made its debut at number 4 on the Billboard World Albums chart.
With the upcoming release of his fifth studio album ‘5IVE’ next year, Davido could join the tie, having already had three albums chart on the list.
