Deji Adeyanju, a well-known lawyer and activist, has confirmed that rapper Speed Darlington, who had been reported missing since Friday, has been arrested.
Adeyanju revealed that the rapper was taken into custody in Lagos and later moved to the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
In a series of posts on his X account on Tuesday, Adeyanju, without providing further details, stated that the arrest was made following a formal complaint by singer Burna Boy.
Deji Adeyanju stated, “We just spent the last 30 minutes with Speed Darlington, who explained how he was arrested in Lagos last Friday, moved around, and eventually brought to Abuja. We can confirm that the petition against him was filed by Burna Boy.”
This update follows Speed Darlington’s mother accusing Burna Boy and his team of being behind her son’s disappearance.
Previously, Darlington had posted a video on social media where he questioned the legitimacy of Burna Boy’s Grammy award and connected Burna Boy with the controversial American singer Diddy.
