Senator Ben Murray-Bruce, Chairman of the Silverbird Group, announced that Nigeria will host the 2025 Miss Universe pageant if Chidimma Adetshina, the newly crowned Miss Universe Nigeria, wins this year’s competition.
In a statement posted on his X account on Tuesday, Bruce pledged that Silverbird Group will do everything in their power to ensure Nigeria hosts the global event next year.
He assured that the difficulties encountered during their attempt to host Miss World in Nigeria in 2002 would not happen again.
He emphasized that it is time for Nigeria to reclaim its rightful position on the global stage.
Bruce stated, “If Chidimma Adetshina wins the @MissUniverse title, The Silverbird Group will spare no expense or effort to bring the 2025 Miss Universe pageant to Nigeria. We’ve learned from the past—those familiar with our 2002 attempt to host Miss World in Nigeria know the challenges we faced. But I want to be clear: what happened then will not happen again. Nigeria is ready to reclaim its rightful place on the global stage, and nothing will stand in our way.”
