Well-known Nigerian actor Adeniyi Johnson has responded to his suspension by the African Men Entertainment Kings (AFRIMEK).
According to the report, AFRIMEK, headed by actor Femi Adebayo, suspended Adeniyi over the weekend due to gross misconduct and violation of its constitution.
In response to the situation, Adeniyi remarked that he had a career before joining the club.
In a lengthy social media post, the actor expressed his disappointment and urged his fans to remain calm as he addresses the issue.
“It deeply saddens me that my esteemed club made such a damaging statement about me. I want to make it clear that I’m not claiming to be bigger than the club, but Adeniyi Johnson existed before the club. If we’re not careful, that post could cause more harm than good.
“I believe this situation could negatively impact my name, family, reputation, and, most importantly, my brand. I therefore ask my family, friends, and fans to stay calm and continue showing their unwavering love and support.
To all associates, I remain humble and thank you for your continued belief and trust. God is greater than us all.”
AFRIMEK is a club known for its prominent members in the entertainment industry.
Notable members of the club include Femi Adebayo, Muyiwa Ademola, Odunlade Adekola, Ibrahim Chatta, and Jamiu Azeez Olamilekan.
