A well-known reggaeton singer El Taiger has passed away.
The 37-year-old died on Thursday, October 10, 2024, one week after suffering a gunshot wound to the head.
His family confirmed the tragic news through an official statement shared via the singer’s Instagram stories.
On October 3, just after 7 a.m., officers responded to NW 17th St. and 10th Ave, where they found El Taiger shot in the head inside a black Mercedes SUV. He was rushed to the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
“He underwent surgery and was placed on life support, but unfortunately, he did not survive his injuries. From the moment he arrived, a team of doctors at Jackson Memorial worked relentlessly to give him the care he needed.
Tragically, this afternoon, El Taiger was pronounced dead and has now joined his beloved mother in heaven. While this news is shocking and devastating, we ask his fans to remember him by celebrating the joy he brought to so many lives.”
