Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka has stated that Kai Havertz stopped him from scoring his first hat-trick for the club.
Saka netted twice as the Gunners secured a 3-0 victory over Monaco at the Emirates on Wednesday night.
The 23-year-old was on course for a third goal when he fired a shot towards the net in the 88th minute.
The shot could have been saved by the goalkeeper, but it bounced off Kai Havertz and into the net.
“He got in the way of it,” Saka joked about Havertz, adding, “but don’t worry, the hat-trick is coming. It’s on its way.”
Arsenal’s remaining two UCL games are against Dinamo Zagreb at home and Girona away.
