According to reports, Nigerian forward Paul Julius has passed away in a car accident in Cyprus.
The 20-year-old’s car collided head-on with another vehicle on the Paralimni-Protaras road.
Julius had joined the Cypriot club, Enosis Neon Paralimniou, just three weeks ago.
The young forward transferred to the club from the Egyptian team, El Gaish.
Enosis Neon Paralimniou reported his passing on their official website, expressing sorrow over his tragic death.
“It is with deep sadness and pain that we extend our heartfelt condolences on the unexpected loss of our player Paul Julius,” the club stated.
“The heartbreaking news of his passing has left us all in shock. Despite the challenges and struggles he endured to become part of our family, he stayed committed and determined to achieve his goals.
“His memory will remain in our hearts, and his absence will be deeply felt.
“We stand with his family and loved ones during this challenging time.
“May he rest in peace.”
