Cristiano Ronaldo and three Premier League players have exited Portugal’s squad before the upcoming match against Croatia.
The 2016 Euro champions secured their spot at the top of their UEFA Nations League group with a 5-1 win over Poland on Friday.
Ronaldo netted two goals, while Bruno Fernandes also scored.
Ahead of Monday’s inconsequential match, manager Roberto Martinez has allowed four of his key players Ronaldo, Pedro Neto, Bernardo Silva, and Bruno Fernandes, to leave.
Martinez stated that he intends to experiment with new players and provide opportunities for younger talents in the upcoming game.
This decision will be a significant advantage for Premier League clubs Manchester City, Chelsea, and Manchester United, as well as Al-Nassr, who will now regain their star players.
