Victor Osimhen has matched the legendary Segun Odegbami on Nigeria’s all-time top scorers list.
This achievement came after he scored in the Super Eagles’ 1-1 draw with Benin Republic during a 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Thursday night.
Osimhen entered the game in third place with 22 goals.
The 26-year-old, currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli, scored the equalizer with a header in the 81st minute in Abidjan.
Osimhen now has 23 goals, equaling Odegbami’s tally, and trails only Rashidi Yekini (37) on Nigeria’s all-time scorers list.
