Super Eagles and Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman has been named the 2024 African Player of the Year at the CAF Awards held today 14/12/24 at the Palais des Congrès in Marrakech, Morocco, according to a reporter.
Lookman played a crucial role in Nigeria’s journey to their eighth Africa Cup of Nations final in Côte d’Ivoire in February, contributing three goals and two assists.
He also delivered a stunning hat-trick in Atalanta FC’s 3-0 victory over Bayer Leverkusen, securing the UEFA Europa Cup for the Italian side in May.
In 2024, Ademola Lookman clinched the Europa League title, was honored as Atalanta’s Player of the Season, earned a spot in the Europa League Team of the Year, and scored a remarkable hat-trick in the Europa League final against Bayer Leverkusen.
Others include; 18 G/A in Serie A last season, 16 G/A in Serie A and UCL so far this season.
