Tinubu has authorized the appointment of Abubakar Dantsoho as the Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority.
The President, in a release issued on Friday by his Media Adviser, Ajuri Ngelale, also authorized the appointment of Senator Adedayo Adeyeye as Chairman of the Board of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).
President Tinubu anticipates that the new leadership of this crucial agency will demonstrate excellence in their responsibilities to enable effective port services and improve industry results.
Dantsoho possesses a Doctorate in Maritime Technology from Liverpool John Moores University in the United Kingdom, as well as a Master’s degree in International Transport from Cardiff University of Wales which is in the United.
Before his appointment, he held several positions in the Nigerian Ports Authority, including Assistant General Manager, Technical Assistant to the Managing Director, Port Manager at Onne Port, and Principal Manager for Tariff and Billing.
Adeyeye, the newly appointed Board Chairman, is an experienced lawyer, journalist, and politician. He is a former Minister of State for Works and a former Senator representing the Ekiti South Senatorial District.
