Faisal Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi, the eldest son of former Kaduna State Governor, Senator Ahmed Makarfi, has passed away in a tragic car accident.
According to a family source, who wished to remain anonymous, the accident took place on Saturday evening along the Kaduna-Zaria expressway.
“The accident occurred this evening on the Kaduna-Zaria highway. Faisal was taken to an undisclosed hospital, where he was pronounced dead. His father was present at the hospital, and the body has since been taken home for burial preparations,” the source reported.
Faisal, an engineer by training, started his education at Kaduna International School and continued to Adesoye College in Offa, Kwara State, for his secondary schooling.
He went on to study at the University of Greenwich in London, where he earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees. He had also enrolled in a PhD program at the same university.
Attempts to contact Senator Makarfi, the former Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, for comments were unsuccessful at the time of this report.
