Drama as Fayose Declares Himself the National Chairman of the PDP and Announces the Suspension of Atiku, Wike, and Others [VIDEO]

Isaac Fayose, brother of former Ekiti governor Ayo Fayose, has proclaimed himself the new National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

He also announced the suspension of several key members from both factions of the party, including Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Nyesom Wike, Ayo Fayose, Seyi Makinde, and other G5 members.

He stated that anyone upset by his decision is welcome to challenge it in court.

“It’s official; I am now the new National Chairman of the PDP. The current Acting National Chairman, Mr. Damagum, has been suspended, and I have instructed security at Wadata House to hand over the key to the Secretariat.”

He stated, “If you’re unhappy, please don’t come to the secretariat to cause trouble. You can take the matter to court.

Some of you have been suspended by the NWC, so leave all PDP-related materials with the security at Wandata. The former G5 members, including Wike, have been suspended. Fayose has been suspended, and Governor Seyi Makinde has also been suspended. Anyone involved in anti-party activities has been suspended. Even Atiku has been suspended because his ambition is giving us headache.”

According to a report, a faction of the PDP’s National Working Committee (NWC) had suspended Damagum and the party’s National Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu.

The same faction also suspended the National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, and the National Legal Adviser, Kamaldeen Ajibade.

However, the Federal High Court in Abuja issued an order preventing the National Executive Committee (NEC) and the PDP’s Board of Trustees (BoT) from removing Damagum as the Acting National Chairman of the party.

The court ruled that no one else should be recognized as the PDP National Chairman except Damagum until the party’s national convention, which is set for December next year.
