Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, stated that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is committed to doing everything within its capacity to strengthen both the party and Nigeria.

Makinde made this remark on Thursday in Abuja during the inauguration of the Board of Governors and the unveiling of the Roadmap for the Peoples Democratic Institute (PDI).

According to the reporter, PDI, founded in 2000 as the PDP’s research wing, aims to foster a new democratic culture in Nigeria and Africa through programs focused on education, training, capacity building, research, and documentation.

Makinde stated that their plan is to strengthen the PDP, which will, in turn, help to improve Nigeria.

“We will rebuild the PDP, and then the PDP will rebuild Nigeria, providing genuine hope for the Nigerian people.

“As we move towards 2027, it’s evident that the PDP must offer true hope to Nigeria. By revitalizing the PDI, we are working to deliver that real hope to our people.”

Our country requires direction, and Nigerians are looking to the PDP to offer a solid ideological foundation.”

He stated that with the board’s inauguration, the PDP was one step closer to establishing the values it represents.

He encouraged politicians and leaders in positions of service to continually reflect on the legacy they wish to leave behind.

The Oyo governor reaffirmed his dedication to strengthening both the country’s democracy and the PDP.
