Social critic Aisha Yesufu has alleged that President Bola Tinubu is transforming Nigeria into a vast graveyard.
Yesufu’s remarks follow incidents in which several Nigerians lost their lives and others were injured in Oyo, Anambra, and Abuja while trying to obtain palliatives.
According to a reporter, at least 20 residents of Okija in Anambra State died in a stampede during a palliative distribution.
On the same day, an unspecified number of people lost their lives in a stampede in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.h
The incident occurred at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church during the distribution of food items to vulnerable individuals.
Additionally, a reporter reported that over 35 people, mostly children, died in a stampede at a carnival in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, a few days earlier while searching for food.
In response to the incidents, Aisha Yesufu criticized the situation in a post on her X account on Saturday.
She stated, “Godswill Akpabio will boldly claim that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has transformed Abuja and other Nigerian cities into London.
Meanwhile, Tinubu has turned the entire country into a massive graveyard.”
