Nigerian Police Express Concern Over the Rising Number of Missing Persons Cases.

The Ogun State Police Command has expressed worry about a notable surge in cases of missing persons within the state.

In a statement issued in Abeokuta on Tuesday, the Command’s spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, highlighted an alarming increase in the number of reported missing persons spanning all age groups.

She revealed that only a small number of the missing individuals had been located, while many, unfortunately, had not returned home.

The police spokesperson called on residents to stay alert, prioritize their safety, and adopt a more security-conscious mindset.

She added that the command, as a proactive and community-focused force, remained dedicated to increasing public awareness about this troubling development.

“We urge everyone to prioritize their safety by staying vigilant and adopting stronger security measures to avoid falling victim.

The Commissioner of Police, Lanre Ogunlowo, has introduced key measures and guidelines to keep residents informed about critical concerns.

Drawing from information provided by rescued individuals, the Commissioner advises parents to prevent their children from using commercial transportation services with unfamiliar individuals.”

Furthermore, he urges restless youths to utilize the digital communication and location-sharing features on their mobile devices, particularly when traveling or during emergencies,” Odutola stated.

The PPRO emphasized that the public can reach out to the police control room at 09164859299 or contact the Police Public Relations Department at 09159578888 for support.
