President Bola Tinubu is set to welcome Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a state visit today at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
This was disclosed in a statement on Saturday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
“Both leaders will exchange signed Memoranda of Understanding aimed at strengthening cooperation in key sectors,” Onanuga stated.
Modi is set to arrive on Saturday.
During their bilateral talks, President Tinubu and Prime Minister Modi aim to deepen the relationship between Nigeria and India.
This will be the first visit to Nigeria by an Indian prime minister since Dr. Manmohan Singh’s state visit in 2007, which marked the establishment of a strategic partnership between the two nations.
