Jamaican reggae icon Buju Banton recently shared on the ‘Drink Champs’ podcast that he has Igbo heritage, noting that his Maroon ancestors came from the Igbo tribe in Nigeria.

He expressed concern that the Jamaican government is now jeopardizing their ancestral land by allowing Chinese and other foreign entities to encroach on their territory.
