Former Minister of Transportation Chibuike Amaechi expressed his frustration with how Nigerians are reacting to the ongoing economic challenges.
Amaechi stated this in an interview with Igbere TV.
The former governor of Rivers State also noted that he anticipated young people would take to the streets to protest the rising cost of living, but he has yet to witness any signs of their seriousness in doing so.
People should be outraged when they witness a group of individuals stealing their money without taking action. I am genuinely frustrated with the citizens for their inaction.
“Consider what happened in Edo State; should any politician be campaigning there? Some of us can no longer afford to buy diesel because of its high cost,” he stated.
Recall that Amaechi held the position of Minister of Transportation for nearly eight years during the previous administration of Muhammadu Buhari.
