Members of the Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF) are presently conducting their monthly meeting at the State House Conference Centre in Abuja.
The gathering also includes traditional rulers from the National Council of Traditional Rulers.
While the meeting is being held behind closed doors, the agenda remains undisclosed. However, there are suggestions that the governors might be addressing the pressing economic issues nationwide.
It is understood b that the governors may be seeking input from the traditional rulers to develop policies aimed at easing the current challenges facing the country.
Those seen at the meeting include the NGF chairman, AbdulRahman AbdulRazak (Kwara), along with governors Sheriff Oborevwori (Delta), Dapo Abiodun (Ogun), Seyi Makinde (Oyo), Agbu Kefas (Taraba), Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya (Gombe), and Uba Sani (Kaduna).
Notable traditional rulers present include the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III; the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi; and the Etsu Nupe, Yahaya Abubakar, among others.
