Justice Oyewole Adeyeye, the Chief Judge of Ekiti State, has reportedly passed away.
It is noted that part of the High Court building in Ekiti State collapsed on the Chief Judge nearly a year ago while he was in his office.
Sources indicate that he had been battling health issues since being discharged from the hospital.
Several sources revealed that the news is being withheld from the public until an official announcement is made.
Meanwhile, the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) has expressed condolences to the family.
Their message stated, With deep sorrow in our hearts and in total submission to the will of God, FIDA Ekiti consoles with the family of the Chief Judge of Ekiti State, Hon Justice Oyewole Adeyeye on his call to glory.
May He find rest with his maker.
“I pray that God grants the family, the Judiciary and the people of Ekiti State, the grace to bear this irreparable loss. Adieu great one.”
