The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has labeled 2024 as the toughest year for workers in the country.
NLC President Joe Ajaero made this statement on Monday in Abuja during the 2024 “Harmattan School,” themed “Trade Unions and the Quest for a New Social Contract.”
He noted that 2024 has been marked by severe hardships for Nigerian workers.
“I welcome you to a year marked by some of the greatest challenges in our movement’s history. It has been a time of invasion, ransacking, and unprecedented threats and intimidation,” he stated.
