Nigerians featured prominently on Top Charts Africa’s list of the Most Talked About People of 2024.
Nigerians secured 18 positions in the top 30 recently published on the chart body’s website.
Leading the list is Nigerian singer Wizkid, who has remained a trending topic throughout the year due to his ongoing feud with Davido and the release of his latest album, Morayo.
Kenyan President William Ruto secured the second spot on the list.
Ruto gained international attention in June when thousands of Kenyans protested against a tax hike proposal.
After demonstrators stormed the Kenyan Parliament, he reportedly rejected the controversial bill on June 28 and instead signed the “Appropriations Bill 2024” into law to address the budget deficit caused by the bill’s rejection.
Nigerian Afrobeats singer Davido holds the third spot on the list.
His year-long prominence peaked in June with his highly publicized wedding to his wife, Chioma, popularly dubbed ‘Chivido 2024.’
