Grammy-winning singer Damini Ogulu, well-known as Burna Boy, stated that no Nigerian politician has ever given him anything.
In a post on his X handle on Thursday, he hinted that former Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike did not fulfill his promise to him after he won Grammy.
Reporter recalls that in 2021, Wike had announced he would give Burna Boy a plot of land and cash as a reward for winning the Grammy Award.
This followed a homecoming ceremony organized by Rivers State for Burna Boy after his album ‘Twice as Tall’ won the Best Global Music Album category.
Nevertheless, in his post, Burna Boy said: “No politician has ever given me anything. Go ask Wike where the land he promised me is or what money he gave me. You think I’m like your favorites.”
