Nigerian music star Davido has shared his thoughts on why many Nigerians opt for childbirth abroad.
According to a reporter, it has become common among upper and middle-class Nigerians to have their children born overseas.
In a recent episode of The Morning Hustle podcast, Davido suggested that having children abroad is akin to securing an insurance policy.
He explained that children born abroad can benefit from foreign citizenship, access to opportunities, good healthcare, high-quality education and others.
“Many Nigerians opt to give birth overseas, not only because of the advanced medical facilities but also to ensure their children avoid the difficulties of obtaining visas in the future,” he stated
