Tems Further Extends her Record as the Most Certified Nigerian Female Artist in the US

Ttems earns another RIAA platinum award, furthering her record as the most certified Nigerian female artist in the U.S.

Her single “Found,” featuring Brent Faiyaz, has now sold one million copies in the U.S., qualifying it for an RIAA platinum certification.

The single is one of the songs on her sophomore EP ‘If Orange Was A Place’ released in 2021.

The song achieved significant commercial success after Tems gained widespread international attention from her standout performance on Wizkid’s global hit, “Essence.”

With over 119 million streams on Spotify, “Found” has become one of the most streamed tracks in her remarkable catalog.

With her latest certification, Tems now holds three platinum awards for Future’s “Wait For U,” her song “Free Mind,” and “Found.”

She also recently received RIAA gold certifications for her Billboard Hot 100 single “Higher” and her EP For Broken Ears, making her the first Nigerian female artist to achieve an RIAA gold-certified album.

This accomplishment places her alongside Rema and Wizkid as the only Nigerian artists with RIAA-certified projects. Wizkid’s fourth album, Made In Lagos, and Rema’s debut album, Rave & Roses, have both been certified RIAA gold.
