A review by a reporter today, 9/11/24 reveals that the music video, uploaded on Selena Gomez’s YouTube channel two years ago, has now exceeded 1 billion views, becoming the first Nigerian song to reach this milestone.
‘Calm Down Remix’ is also the quickest African song to reach 1 billion views on YouTube, accomplishing this in just two years.
The original version of the song has accumulated more than 619 million views on YouTube.
In August of last year, the ‘Calm Down Remix’ featuring Selena Gomez became the first African song to reach a billion streams on Spotify.
The track now has over 1.5 billion streams on Spotify.
