Paul Okoye, also known as Rudeboy and half of the duo PSquare, has accused his twin brother and former bandmate, Peter Okoye (Mr P), along with his producer, of stealing a song.
This comes after Mr P released a track titled “Winning” following the group’s third breakup earlier this year.
In an Instagram post, Rudeboy accused a producer of stealing a song he had written and performed, claiming the producer handed it over to his twin brother, Mr P.
He alleged that Mr P recorded the song exactly as he had done, with the same producer. Rudeboy expressed frustration, revealing that he had submitted six songs to the management and questioning why they were re-recording his song word for word.
On his Instagram, he wrote, “Song title: Winning. Written and performed by Rudeboy. Produced by the same producer. So, how did this happen? Am I supposed to release a different version? Mr. Producer, your issue is for another time.”
He simply stated, “Bring 6 songs, let me bring 6 songs.” Rudeboy explained that he submitted six songs to the so-called management and questioned why his song was being re-recorded exactly as it was, especially one intended for his album next June.
In another Instagram story, he threatened to release the original versions of any of his songs that were being copied. “The days of manipulation are over!” he declared.
And to the management, make I hear any song wey na only me sing, I go release the original version.
Oloriburuku!
Music is not that hard!,” he stated.
