Netflix has addressed rumors about its alleged departure from Nigeria.
According to a reporter, there has been speculation that Netflix left the Nigerian market due to economic challenges and regulatory pressures.
In response to the reports, Netflix released a statement to TechCabal affirming its strong commitment to continuing operations in Nigeria.
Dismissing the rumors, Netflix stated that it remains committed to investing in Nigerian stories to entertain its audience.
“We are not leaving Nigeria. Our focus will remain on investing in local stories to captivate our members,” the company said.
Reporter notes that since entering the Nigerian market in 2016, Netflix has brought numerous local productions to a global audience.
