In an unusual development, a man from Bulawayo has filed for divorce after experiencing recurring dreams in which he witnesses his wife cheating on him.

Energy Moyo, a resident of Lobenvale suburb, recently submitted a divorce application to the Bulawayo Customary Court.

He has been married to Angela Dube for nine years and cited these vivid dreams as the sole reason for seeking separation.

Despite lacking any concrete evidence of infidelity, Moyo’s dreams have left him deeply convinced of his wife’s unfaithfulness.

In his court application, he detailed how these persistent dreams depict Dube engaging romantically with another man, who happens to be their neighbor.

The emotional toll of these dreams has significantly distressed Moyo and led him to doubt his wife’s fidelity.

Moyo stated in his application that the marriage between him and Dube has irretrievably broken down, with no possibility of reconciliation.

He emphasized that these dreams have strained their relationship beyond repair, eroding the love, trust, and respect they once shared from the early years of their marriage. Moreover, Moyo alleged that his attempts to discuss these dreams with Dube were met with verbal and physical abuse from her.

This alleged mistreatment, coupled with the anguish caused by the dreams, has compelled Moyo to pursue divorce proceedings.

In addition to seeking divorce, Moyo has requested custody of their two children and an equal division of their household assets. He expressed his primary concern for the well-being of his children and believes that an equitable distribution of property is fair under the circumstances.

The case is pending hearing at the Bulawayo Customary Court, where it will be determined how the court addresses this unique divorce application based solely on Moyo’s dreams.
