I Didn’t Threaten the Life of Wike – Says VeryDarkMan

Social media commentator Martins Ortse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has denied allegations of threatening the life of Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), over the revocation of a plot of land belonging to the family of the late Colonel Paul Osakpamwan Ogbebor.

A viral video on social media alleged that Wike had revoked the Ogbebor family’s land, originally allocated in 1981. Subsequently, a WhatsApp broadcast message claimed that VeryDarkMan had issued threats against the FCT minister.

“I shared a video on WhatsApp about the land Wike revoked, but someone edited it with a new caption, making it appear as though I was the one who did it. I want to clarify that I am not involved in threatening anyone’s life; it’s simply not in my character or nature.

What I use my platform for is to speak out for those who are oppressed and to seek justice for those who are rightfully in the law. I have never threatened anyone’s life, so it’s hard to believe they’re now accusing me of threatening Wike. In that video, all I did was ask him to reconsider the documents from those people, as they are the rightful owners of that land.”
