Widely known Nigerian Afrobeat artist Davido was seen alongside other top musicians at Asake’s “Lungu Boy” tour concert in Atlanta, Georgia.
Asake’s performance at the sold-out State Farm Arena, which has a capacity of 17,000, started on August 16, 2024, and will continue for 10 days.
A viral video on social media showed Davido backstage with American rapper Quavo, showing support for Asake during the live show.
Other artists in attendance included Nigerian hitmaker Zlatan and American rapper Russ Millions.
The report has it that Asake’s “Lungu Boy” tour will visit six cities in the U.S., headlining prominent venues such as Madison Square Garden in New York, the Toyota Center in Houston, and the State Farm Arena in Atlanta.
The tour follows the recent release of his new hit, “Lungu Boy,” which features several superstars, including Wizkid, British rappers Central Cee, Stormzy, Travis Scott, and Brazilian singer Ludmilla.
“Lungu Boy” achieved a new record for the highest opening week on Spotify Nigeria, amassing 18.9 million streams in its debut week and surpassing the previous record of 14.4 million streams set by Davido’s “Timeless.”
