Sean Combs, also known as Diddy, has been implicated in the 1996 murder of rapper Tupac Shakur.
The founder of Bad Boy Records is accused of offering $1 million for Shakur’s assassination, according to new court documents reported by the U.S. Sun.
These documents, filed on Thursday (July 18), mention Diddy 77 times under his various names: Puffy, Puff Daddy, Puff, and his real name, Sean Combs.
When police asked Davis if “Puffy Combs” was involved, Davis responded, “Yeah, I think he did.” Davis claimed that Diddy expressed to him and a group of around 45 people that he would “give anything” for Knight’s “head” because he was “scared” of him and had a grudge against Shakur following a diss track.
Prosecutors filed these documents to contest Davis’ recent bail request, which was denied last month due to concerns about the bail money’s source.
It remains unclear whether Diddy will be subpoenaed or indicted in connection with the case.
