Chidimma Adetshina has been crowned Miss Universe Nigeria 2024.
According to the report, the 23-year-old law student had to withdraw from a beauty pageant in South Africa before returning to Nigeria to compete in the Miss Universe Nigeria contest.
Her victory came after a controversial withdrawal from Miss South Africa 2024, prompted by xenophobic backlash due to her nationality.
Guy Murray-Bruce, President of the Silverbird Group, which organized the competition, announced Adetshina as the winner during the grand finale held at Eko Hotels & Suites in Lagos on Saturday night.
