Before President Bola Tinubu’s anticipated cabinet reshuffle, prominent social critic Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), has urged the dismissal of the Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu.
Reporter reports that Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, announced on Wednesday that a cabinet reshuffle is imminent. It is suggested that some ministers may be dismissed, while others could be reassigned to different roles.
In response, VDM, in a video shared on his Facebook page on Friday, urged the president to retain ministers who are performing well.
However, he stated that the Minister of Power should be removed, criticizing the “segregation of Band A, Band B, and Band C” as illogical. He questioned why some Nigerians receive 20 hours of electricity per day while others get far less.
He stated, “If any minister is to be removed or reshuffled, it should be the Minister of Power. That guy needs to go.
“My reason is the segregation with Band A, Band B, and Band C, issues make no sense. What’s the justification for this division? Are they implying that poor people shouldn’t have access to electricity?
“Is it that poor people don’t deserve 24-hour electricity? It makes no sense because we are all Nigerians.”
