American singer Beyoncé made a surprise appearance during the 2024 Paris Olympics opening ceremony broadcast on NBC Friday night, where she presented many American athletes.
The ‘Drunk In Love’ star wore a red, white, and blue outfit, featuring a ‘USA’ leotard, a flowing cape, cowboy boots, and a cowboy hat.
“Take a look at America, y’all,” Beyoncé said, as her hit song ‘Ya Ya’ from her latest album, ‘Cowboy Carter,’ played in the background.
“These hopes and dreams, these superstars represent us—the people of this big, bold, beautiful, and complex nation. We’re all cheering for them together.”
She acknowledged several team members: Simone Biles, Sha’Carri Richardson, Noah Lyles, Caeleb Dressel, and Katie Ledecky.
“That pride and joy? That’s what stands out to me about this team. It’s what makes me believe in them, and why I’m excited to see their achievements over the next 16 days. America, let’s celebrate Team USA, the best of who we are. What an incredible sight, what an inspiring team, and what a night to celebrate,” she concluded.
